At home in The Hub: Long Roofing lands in Boston
Dave Normandin, a Boston native and 40-year veteran of the home improvement industry, has worked with Long Roofing since 2011. He became president of the company in late 2016.
Jeff Caron, Long Roofing’s vice president of sales, was a lifelong New Englander before joining Long Roofing earlier this decade. Jeff is approaching 40 years of experience in the home improvement business himself.

Where does Long Roofing come from?
The LONG name has been recognized as one of the top providers of home improvement services in the Mid-Atlantic region for over 70 years. The business, launched as a fencing company in the heart of Washington, D.C. by the father-son duo of Henry and Robert Long, respectively, in the 1940s, exploded when Robert took the reins in 1960.
That company — Long Fence® — thrived, becoming the regional leader in residential and commercial fencing. To this day, it is nearly impossible to drive through Washington, D.C., Maryland or Virginia without seeing the ubiquitous Long Fence logo.
Under the leadership of now-Long Roofing CEO John DePaola and executive officer Jill Long DePaola, Long Fence branched deeper into the home improvement world in 1994 with the launch of Long Windows.
The out-of-the-gate success of the window division led to several more home services, allowing the newly-dubbed Long Fence and Home to step away from the legacy brand and become a company of its own.
